What a week!

Honestly, this week has been busy and tiring!

Brad is taking time off work to deal with his anxiety and depression and the boys have been so ratty!

Look at mini-me Levi copying Brad, we didn't even realise he was doing it for a sec, when I grabbed the camera he moved.

I received my parcel of fabric in the mail...

Gorgeous ginger blossom for Krissy's Christmas quilt and some Moda for the boys' (Don't ask what else is there cos I'm not sure!)

And my WIP from Wednesday which I totally meant to blog but ran out of time.
And last but not least I have my very first quilted block!! Ta daaaa!

On another note, expect to see some girly things coming up. My sister Krissy is going to be going to the Melbourne Markets soon to try and sell some of the vintage clothes she's been collecting and I've asked if she will take some things with her and see if they sell. I'm thinking some monkeys and tutus. Hmmm...what if I was to combine both those things????

Stay tuned!

How generous are bloggers??

I've been reading lots of blogs lately and am just astonished as to how generous some people are. Check out this giveaway as an example:
http://thequiltingb.blogspot.com/
This gorgeous lady offered a $100 voucher for first prize just for leaving a comment. She may not even know the people leaving a comment !!!!

Blows my mind and inspires me.

The winner!?!?!

Me?!? No! I've never won anything before, ever. Like in all seriousness, never. Not even the stupid pass the parcel game when I was a kid. So when I entered a blog competition I was sure I was just making up the numbers. But to my absolute astonishment, I won. It was a giveaway from this blog http://incywincytogs.blogspot.com/. You had to enter a comment and go in the draw to win.

So my surprise gift came today in the mail. Here are some pictures of what I received...

A brooch and some very cute buttons

AND a make your own peg doll kit!!!

What an awesome present! Thanks again!

I've also been creating some things myself.
Here is Levi's new hat (pattern courtesy of Rachel.)

And a sneak peek at a softie for a friend who is about to have a baby.

Red Riding Hood

Interesting title, huh? Lately I've been falling in love with fabric. I'm going to attempt to make a quilt (or two) so I've been reading lots of crafty blogs and being inspired...very scary! My credit card hates me!

So whilst waiting to accumulate enough fabric to do something big I've been making some smaller things...here's a doorstop I made with the RRH fabric. (It has a leather base!!!!)

And a sneak peek of something else I am doing for a friend having a baby.

There will be some more sneak peeks soon once the fabric arrive. Shh! Don't tell Brad!

In other news my children are driving me nuts. Levi is attaching himselfto me the second I put Raife down and Raife has been more unsettled lately which is no fun. He's feeding every 2 hours which is crazy! He's a right little porker too, completely unnecessary!! :P

We got the paints out today-excuse the jarmies. It was too hard to get them dressed today (me too) and it's probably a good thing I didn't get them dressed LOOK AT LEVI! There was purple paint everywhere except his paper. On the floor, his face, his EAR, the fridge etc.

Too funny!

My dryer has shit itself too so that's great. At least it's still under warranty! Waiting for the repair guy to call and arrange a time to fix it...meanwhile none of the clothes are drying!! I think I might make a trip to the laundromat alone tonight. Good excuse for a break. ;)

Such a "home"

Well, we are much more settled here. It feels like home already. I love the space, the light, the warmth that permeats this house. It's awesome. We are all much more relaxed here. I really love it. I am crossing everything that we can stay in this home for as long as possible.
I almost changed the boys from daycare on the other side of town to one that is just up the road but I just couldn't. They are settled there, know the carers and the routine. Instead I dropped a day, they will only be going on Friday. I am thinking of taking them swimming (!!) or something on Wednesday instead. I need to find other activities for them that we can do together out of the house... Thinking cap is on.
I'll come back and show some crafty stuff I am working on soon.

New house

So we have moved. We decided to move one week, looked at houses the next week and moved in the next! Yep we are fast. When we decide something we do it!
Here are some pics...

The study- Brad's room, scrapbooking stuff yet to be unpacked!

My beautiful kitchen!

The bathroom- (Ever tried to bath kids in a spa? Think we will be teaching them to shower or getting me some bathers!) So porn star style!!!
My "young Julia Gillard" toilet roll holder!

Raife's room (in desperate need of decoration) Just as an example of the bedrooms

The playroom (Hunter behind the door and R in his chair)

The back deck

And paved area

Loving it!
