Merry Christmas!

The madness here starts today so I will very quickly come in now and say...

From my Family to yours

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Ear (the boys' version)!

My Christmas toy drop.

B just rebuilt my computer and hasn't loaded a photo editing program yet so I will be scarce for a bit with the pictures.
Here is the toys society blog and my drop.
So much fun!

What a crazy month!

Hello to my 20 subscribers!! Love seeing that number grow. ;)

So I've been busy. My computer died so we had to get a new one but I lost 2 months worth of photos. Nothing big, but because I hadn't blogged for awhile there are some things you won't get to see. Sorry about that.

Anyway, here is what I have done that you can see:

Levi's bag

The boys' cowboy toys. I think they will be hatless because they look like they are wearing farmer's hats.

Check out the fringe on the leg!!

A Bellarina band for a "cousin." The zippered puch photo is gone, it was cute though!

Reversible napkins for my Grandma (Mormor)

The scottie dog for the toy society Christmas drop this weekend

I don't know if you can tell but he's actually blue velvet. Vintage blue velvet.

This is a cape I made for the boys. I also put one in the shop and have fabric to make many more.

A dress for the shop. (Just needed ribbon.)

And my beautiful Levi before his haircut. Now it is so short. He looks so big! Will take a new pic tomorrow to show you all. *sob*

My stocking swap came!

Look at this loveliness from Meghan.

Isn't she clever? Thanks so much Meghan! I love them!

Here is our advent calendar that I "scrapped."

Oh shit. Almost forgot! I won a giveaway on giveaway day! I am so pleased! From this talented and lovely lady. I won the pillows, now I need to decide which ones to choose!

December

Gosh, it's a busy time of year, isn't it?
Just seems to be non-stop.
I have no idea what I am up to here.

I told you all about my swap with Jo, right? The handmade ornaments? I got mine yesterday from Ali.
She made some gorgeous decos for the tree from I think, ribbon? They are just lovely and a yoyo garland that I have no idea where to hang so it won't get wrecked. (by little jumping up and pulling things down people) Oh and some candy canes for me... no, I mean the boys!

...Um... I posted my stocking full o'Cheer and that's been received, my partner requested silver which totally threw me! I am normally a gold person and finding silver fabric was really tricky! Nonetheless got there in the end and actually really enjoyed the challenge. Here is what I made:

I keep trying to take pics of the decorations around the house but it's so gloomy at the moment.

Shock

Wow, what a complete shock!
I can't believe how many of you stopped by. Thanks for coming!
The winner of the draw was chosen by Brad, my partner. I have no paper in the printer so instead I asked him to pick a number between 1 and 168. (Someone double posted, surprisingly it wasn't Car looking for an extra chance!)
He chose number 62. The winner is frogdancer! Congratulations! I will be posting out your stocking and goodies as soon as I have your snail mail address.
Thanks so much to everyone for stopping by. Hang around. I love spreading the love and can assure you there will be more giveaways in the new year!

Handmade Christmas Ornament Swap

Here are the little goodies I posted off to Jojo.

Don't you love this? It's a bias blossom with a fabric button! Reusable people!! I feel like I should say "I'm so clever" but that would be dodgy right?

I am eagerly anticipating receiving mine!!

And here is my lovely Secret Santa gift from the Newbie Quilter's group.

It was so hard not opening this! The lollies are gone, yes.

Post!

I am a part of an online mother's group on Essential Baby, a chat forum.

This group has given me so much over the almost 3 years we've been chatting.

I got home from work today to a parcel of goodies and a lovely card saying it was "just because". (Yes I cried!)

Thanks so much Megan. I will be playing with it all after Christmas!

So...

I am giving away this gorgeous stocking.

Purely because I love it and I hope you do too.

It will be filled with lots of little presents.

Some handmade decorations, some little goodies of the eating variety.

Anyone can enter, but in order to be the winner, I would love to know how you found me. Did you find me via eb? Or ricrac or through this sew, mama, sew giveaway day link?
Then I will randomly pull a name out of the stocking (good thinking, right?) and announce the winner on the weekend.
**Comments are now closed. Thanks for coming!**

Table Runner Received!

As part of the newbie quilters group on Essential Baby, we decided to try and do a swap. We thought a Christmas Table Runner would be great fun. I think most of the girls are also Christmas mad, like me.

I made this one for Esther, who loves red fabric, it's from Handmade 2007 vol 24 no 11. I had to pinch her pictures cos I lost the ones I took.

I have plans to make one for me too. Maybe next year though!!

Another gift bites the dust!

Tell me you're not singing it. Liars!

This is a nappy bag made from this fantastic tutorial on a Mingled Yarn. So easy to understand. This is for my SIL who loves pink and wasn't able to find a pink nappy bag anywhere. She has a pink everything, including a pink baby. The gorgeous Izy. (remember the quilt?)

Pink enough?

Do you like vintage?

Remember this dress?
This was hers! (Excuse the hair, it was up)

My gorgeous sister has finally taken the plunge and started a blog. I happen to have the inside goss and know for a fact that she has piles and piles of vintage goodies that she is planning on decluttering. Check her out here and say hi!

You'd be forgiven...

...for thinking that after my last post about how close Christmas is, that I'd been doing something to prepare for it.

Nup, instead I pulled out an old WIP that had to be finished right then and there.

Hunter's quilt is done.

I love it. It is so him. So retro, gorgeous and deep just like him.

It is mostly made from Spotlight fabrics. With the exception of the bug fabrics (brown). I saw the Michael Miller retro transport and added in more browns and greens. I love pieced backs. I think they rock!
Here it is in action on his bed. I was debating whether to save it for Christmas but he walked in and said "My blanket! It's very cool Mum" so I left it there.

Next up: Levi's!!
