Table Runner Received!

As part of the newbie quilters group on Essential Baby, we decided to try and do a swap. We thought a Christmas Table Runner would be great fun. I think most of the girls are also Christmas mad, like me.

I made this one for Esther, who loves red fabric, it's from Handmade 2007 vol 24 no 11. I had to pinch her pictures cos I lost the ones I took.

I have plans to make one for me too. Maybe next year though!!

Another gift bites the dust!

Tell me you're not singing it. Liars!

This is a nappy bag made from this fantastic tutorial on a Mingled Yarn. So easy to understand. This is for my SIL who loves pink and wasn't able to find a pink nappy bag anywhere. She has a pink everything, including a pink baby. The gorgeous Izy. (remember the quilt?)

Pink enough?

Do you like vintage?

Remember this dress?
This was hers! (Excuse the hair, it was up)

My gorgeous sister has finally taken the plunge and started a blog. I happen to have the inside goss and know for a fact that she has piles and piles of vintage goodies that she is planning on decluttering. Check her out here and say hi!

You'd be forgiven...

...for thinking that after my last post about how close Christmas is, that I'd been doing something to prepare for it.

Nup, instead I pulled out an old WIP that had to be finished right then and there.

Hunter's quilt is done.

I love it. It is so him. So retro, gorgeous and deep just like him.

It is mostly made from Spotlight fabrics. With the exception of the bug fabrics (brown). I saw the Michael Miller retro transport and added in more browns and greens. I love pieced backs. I think they rock!
Here it is in action on his bed. I was debating whether to save it for Christmas but he walked in and said "My blanket! It's very cool Mum" so I left it there.

Next up: Levi's!!

This was for the mother of the girl who received this pink bag...

I joined up to Going Sew Crazy's Stocking Full O Cheer and thought it would be really easy, but I got a (lovely) swap partner who prefers silver. Oh my. Soooo hard!! Nonetheless I am there. Here is a sneak peek. It's wrapped waiting for it's stocking.

And look at this boofhead. 8 and a half months and crawling (Crawling!!!!)

Can you believe I forgot to take a photo of the whole thing? Actually to be honest, I think I did and when our computer crashed I lost it. *sob* I will have to show you once it's been received. And blogged...

Here it is all wrapped up!

I made this for a certain little miss

This is a messenger bag for Hunter for Christmas,

And this is for my EB Secret Santa gift. It's the perfect size for scrapbooking papers. I think I'll make up a couple for the shop...

So, I received a package today from a company addressed to Selina Thebell (LOL) and opened it cos I had no idea what it was or what it's for.
It's a beautiful Willow Tree figurine "Happiness".
I'm in a few swaps at the moment that this could be from and I have no idea which one it is from. Put me out of my misery!! Thanks so much whoever it is. I love it!

Thanks for the bag love!! I used this hobo bag pattern and altered it to add a pleat in the front, an open pocket and a plain strap.
OK so I've been a little busy. I have been sewing and playing with the hot glue gun. But I can't show you that...they are for swaps. (I'm currently in 5 (!!!)

Another Christmas gift done!

Every year for my Mum's family, the adults each draw a name from a hat. I drew my Aunt and B drew my Mormor (Grandma in Danish).

This is a gift for my Aunt.

What do you think? I hope she likes it!
