The most beautiful ring

So here it is, the most perfect ring for me.

We went and chose it together... hey, we've been together for 5 years! He knows me but I couldn't face the idea of wearing something I wouldn't love to look at every day, FOREVER! (Plus he would have spent sooo much more. This way I could justify very expensive shoes as well ;) )

I haven't gotten my sewing machine out since the market failure :( so I have nothing crafty to show but I am working toward something.

The fabulous Jodie at Ric-Rac kindly sent me her gorgeous kinder boys pattern so I may have to have a go at them. They're so sweet!

I am also waiting on my engagement photo dress to be delivered this week so I will post pics of that, it's a green 50s style party dress.

Has it really been that long?
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to disappear like that. There has been alot happening here.

Brad and I are engaged. I officially have the most beautiful ring in the world and go around saying my fiance all the time. The date of the wedding is the 9th of September this year. 09/09/09! Cool date huh?
So lots of planning has been happening here, as you can imagine. Don't know how much of this I will blog, I guess it depends on the interest in it??

Then we were involved in a car crash- we went through the green light and stopped behind the cars waiting for the next green light, the lady behind us stopped...just but the man behind her didn't. Thankfully we were all fine and the insurance covered us. One month later we have a lovely newer, bigger, much more practical and fuel efficient car.

I've been busily sewing for a local market that turned out to be much more like a family fun day and I only sold one thing. Needless to say I will be stocking the shop after I take some photos.

So lots of good and some bad news for you. I will be back soon with some lovely pics to share, I'm sure.

Tragedy

There is so much sadness today in Australia.

Too many lives lost, too many homes gone. And with them all the posessions. I am feeling very useless and so sad.

I am thinking of putting one of the quilts in the shop up for auction and donating the proceeds to the appeal.

I just need to work out how...
